By Taxi
Taxis are a popular mode of Public Transport on Merseyside. Liverpool houses England's largest hackney carriage fleet outside of London and the city is also home to some of the world's largest Private Hire Operators.
Taxis - Hackney Cabs
A hackney rank is located directly outside the entrance to the airport terminal.
Passengers can now pay for taxi journeys from LJLA using a debit or credit card as an alternative to paying by cash. Licensed Hackney Cabs with this service display ‘Chip, PIN & Go’ signs on the outside.
Private Hire Taxis
Pre-booked private hire vehicles must pick up and drop off in the car parks.
The journey into Liverpool city centre is 7 miles, takes approximately 20 minutes, and costs approximately £15 (prices can vary, depending on exact destination, so passengers are advised to check fare with driver).
By Bus
Bus and Coach stops are located at the front of the Airport Terminal Building.
By Train
Regular, inexpensive bus services operate between Liverpool John Lennon Airport and a number of local Railway Stations, including Liverpool South Parkway, Liverpool Lime Street and Liverpool Hunts Cross.
